Website privacy
Updated October 9, 2026. This notice covers the Resolution Lighting design website at resolutionlighting.ca. The linked Wix shop has its own privacy notice.
Your cookie choices
The “Allow cookies” choice covers optional cookies and similar browser storage used for visit measurements. With your permission, we measure visits, pages viewed, visit times, approximate country and province or state when available, scroll depth, active viewing time, visible sections and selected clicks, such as opening the shop or contacting us. These measurements help us improve your experience and understand which parts of the website are useful. Time and location are estimates; they do not establish a visitor’s identity or what they are looking at.
You can allow or decline optional cookies and similar browser storage and change your choice using “Cookie choices” in the footer. We respect browser Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Declining does not restrict access to the website. Visits that decline optional measurements are not included in these statistics.
How measurements work
Measurements are stored privately with the website’s hosting service. Our current optional measurements use browser local storage to remember your cookie choice and short-lived random session tokens in browser session storage to group page visits within a tab. We do not use these measurements to identify anonymous people, collect their emails or phone numbers, or record screen replays or form contents. Our visit-measurement database does not store IP addresses, precise locations, advertising identifiers or full referring URLs.
The website uses your network address briefly to estimate your country and province or state against a local lookup database. The address is not stored in our visit-measurement database or sent to a location lookup provider. Location data comes from DB-IP City Lite, under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. The deployed data contains only public address ranges and country/region names, with city names and coordinates removed. Results are approximate and can be affected by VPNs and mobile networks. Like other websites, infrastructure providers may keep operational or security logs separately.
Contact details you choose to share
Submitting the project questionnaire or trade application saves the completed answers and contact details privately so Resolution Lighting can review and respond to your request. Trade applications also record your acknowledgement of account terms and your separate optional marketing preference. Dealer approval and mailing-list subscription are not automatic. A receipt confirms successful storage. Trade applications also generate a private email notification to info@resolutionlighting.ca through Resend; completed answers and contact details are processed by that email provider for delivery. The website retains the application if email delivery is delayed. Project and trade records are not linked to anonymous browsing measurements. Newsletter consent is separate; submitting a project does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
Newsletter consent remains a separate choice. Saving an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
Access and retention
Visit measurements and saved enquiry details are for Resolution Lighting’s private review and weekly reports. They are not published on this website. Individual visit records are retained for up to 90 days, and submitted project questionnaires, trade applications and saved contact records for up to one year; automated cleanup runs during new visits. Emails and business records may have separate retention periods.
